I love that you added a pinch of cayenne pepper, that always makes a stew just so much better.Jasonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05736310968254082502noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8653417070288088709.post-66047026130869742522008-10-29T22:37:00.000-05:002008-10-29T22:37:00.000-05:00This looks delicious! This looks delicious!BanginFoodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04785703075078154159noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8653417070288088709.post-28276945983658053392008-10-29T12:14:00.000-05:002008-10-29T12:14:00.000-05:00This looks yummy and just perfect for a day like t...This looks yummy and just perfect for a day like this. John uses leeks a lot with roasts and roast chicken, but I don't think he prepares it the way you say. As for the crockpot, I take 2 sturdy rubber bands. Twist one around each handle and then around the lid. This usually prevents spills. Or, as an alternative, I put the soup in a plastic container with a lid and then just send the crockpot along - pour it in and heat up - voila! I do have access to leeks; I should use them more often. I hope it warmed you up. How awful to have the temperature drop 30 degrees so quickly! I have to transport soup to work often and having had a couple of near misses, now put it in a huge rubbermaid box, just in case :) Thanks for the great recipe.DeniseinVAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08494518513936310345noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8653417070288088709.post-65666241025755385452008-10-23T21:23:00.000-05:002008-10-23T21:23:00.000-05:00That soup looks good! That soup looks good!test it commhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07795596315329913917noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8653417070288088709.post-34356144406387271222008-10-23T20:34:00.000-05:002008-10-23T20:34:00.000-05:00Great soup!
